The Studio del Barone faces directly onto the Grand Canal. This was the study of Baron Franchetti, the owner of the palazzo who commissioned the major restoration at the end of the 19th century. The room still has the precious wood panelling from that period and furniture designed by Carlo Matscheg, recently restored and modified to hide some of the technical equipment. The small Murano chandelier and the original floor complete the furnishings of this early 20th-century jewel. The studio can be used for private meetings, press conferences, interviews or as a support room for speakers at the conferences held in the Sala del Portego next door.
